Join the Community Fire Unit

In the lead up to summer, the Community Fire Unit is looking for local volunteers to help protect Denman Prospect from bushfires.
The focus of the Community Fire Unit is on bushfire education, prevention, and preparation. Training will cover areas like bushfire behaviour, planning and preparation, and operating fire-fighting equipment. Volunteers are trained and equipped by the ACT Fire & Rescue to safeguard homes during bushfires until fire services arrive.
